So you got a handwoven square scarf and you are looking for some ideas on how to wear it?
Here I have five (5) ideas on how to stylish your square scarf. Actually because the handwoven scarves that I have woven are using an asymmetrical, colorful pattern, you have ten (10) options to brandish your square!
Let's get started!
1. Front Triangle
Fold the square scarf into a triangle. Sometimes the square will be a bit of a rectangle, this is okay. Choose the color side that you would like to wear.
Place the scarf folded as triangle in front of your neck and cross both ends of the scarf at your back.
Cross the scarf end to each side of your neck and tuck it within the scarf. No need to tie a knot, friction will hold it in place unless you're getting really physical!
2. Side Triangle
Hold the scarf that is folded as triangle on top of one of your shoulders, bring the square scarf ends to the opposite shoulder and loop them to hold each other.
3. Skinny Neck Wrap
Hold the scarf that is folded as triangle and then fold from the wide side towards the point, creating a skinny wrap.
Place the skinny wrap in front of your neck and then tuck both scarf ends within at both sides of the neck.
4. Handkerchief or cravat style
Fold square scarf as triangle and place the triangle on your back, then bring both scarf ends to the front of your neck and cross them in front of your neck.
5. Head Dress
Choose the color that you want to be on front of your head and hold two ends of the scarf on top of your head.
Bring both ends to the back of your head and tie a knot or use a pin to hold it in place.
That's it! These were five quick ideas on how to use your handwoven square scarf. Be creative and enjoy playing with the colors that you want to show.
